Dr. Cooke completed his undergraduate work in Biology, graduating with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin, in 1985. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 1989. He completed his Orthopedic Residencey training in 1994 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Cooke was Chief Orthopedic Surgeon, 325th Medical Operations Squadron at Tyndall AFB in Jacksonville, Florida, during his 3 years of military service. He then settled in Abilene and started private practice in orthopedic surgery in 1997, joining Dr. Holloway at Abilene Bone and Joint.
Dr. Cooke is currently serving as the head orthopedic physician for Abilene High School.
He was Board Certified in 1996 and recertified in 2005.
Dr. Cooke’s personal hobbies and interests include hunting and sports. He is a member of Pioneer Baptist Church, Abilene. He is married and has seven children.
